Routine Eye Exams

A routine eye exam is a check-up to assess your vision and eye health. What happens? You read letters on a chart to test visual acuity. The doctor uses lights and lenses to check eye alignment, focusing, and prescription. They examine the inside and outside of your eyes to look for signs of conditions like glaucoma, cataracts, or macular issues. Sometimes your pupils are dilated. Purpose: To update your glasses prescription and detect any early eye problems. Low vision patients may receive additional vision testing to find the correct solution for optimal vision. Children with nearsightedness may be introduced to a myopia control treatment plan.

Contact Lens Exams

A contact lens fitting is a personalized process to determine the right type of contact lenses for your vision needs. During the fitting, your eye care provider will measure your eye's shape, size, and curvature to ensure a comfortable and effective fit. They will also discuss various lens options, including daily wear, extended wear, and specialty lenses that best fit your lifestyle. This process is essential for clear vision and ocular health while wearing your contacts. Depending on your prescription, you may require toric or multifocal lenses. Low vision patients may need an adjusted eyeglasses prescription to wear over contact lenses. Those interested in contacts for the first time, will undergo a training process with a contact lens technician.
