Medical Eye Exam:

All items listed in routine eye exam AND.....

Evaluation and/or treatment of symptoms or conditions including but not limited to; floaters, ocular migraines, dry eyes, vision loss, cataracts, glaucoma, macula degeneration, diabetes, or high risk medications (Plaquenil).

Your optometrist is always going to make your health their top priority. Any symptoms or conditions you report for evaluation during your visit will be addressed through a medical eye exam.
STAY INFORMED AND CALL YOUR INSURANCE BEFORE BOOKING IF YOU ARE UNFAMILIAR WITH YOUR COVERAGE:

Vision Plans such as Davis Vision, Spectera, & Superior Vision do NOT cover medical eye exams. EyeMed and Vision Service Plan (VSP) sometimes cover medical eye exams, often secondary to your medical insurance.

Medicare Part B never covers routine eye exams. Supplement and replacement plans sometimes offer routine eye exam coverage.
​
Medical Insurance such as BCBS (Anthem), Cigna, United Healthcare, & Harvard Pilgrim may cover your routine eye exam.
